August is Black Business Month. I am very serious about how my Black dollas are spent and many times it revolves around my community. While it is often disheartening to hear the masses disparage Black Business as a whole, I am so proud to be a Black Business owner. I am even prouder to be an avid and deliberate patron of Black Businesses. For me being Black is not just an adage of my neighborhood, venacular, ethnicity or skin color; it is something that I actively engage in daily. I breathe it. I defend it. I give homage to it.
