Black History Month
United States and Canada Black History Month began as Black History Week in 1976 and was founded by Carter G. Woodson as a way to commemorate the accomplishments of Black People in North America which were left out of the American history books.
The Baltimore Black Running Organization started Dashiki Friday to encourage black people to wear original dashikis and participate in activities (social) that support businesses owned by black people.
